Waterfront Farm
This large waterfront farm in Maryland comprises a main house, guest cottages, barns, garages, a pool house, tennis pavilion, boathouse, boat sheds, equipment sheds, a gymnasium, formal gardens, greenhouses, and several special-purpose structures. Wiedemann Architects developed a cohesive architectural language for the main residence and its many outbuildings, drawing inspiration from the original 19th-century farmstead.
Buildings within the Critical Area buffer were constructed or repurposed on their original footprints using flood-resistant techniques. Across the property, all new work was carefully designed to unify the diverse structures into a consistent, harmonious complex.
